A couple of days ago I was in Pier One.....and saw a picture frame I loved...but it was $29...and thought better of it...so I kinda stalked it and then left thinking nothing more about it. Then yesterday I came across in my ramblings....a coat I bought last summer at Good Will ($1) and thought yikes perfect for that frame....then I found the frame in a bag of dicarded frames (but useful)...painted it black and the perfect circle I wanted to use...and bingo....several burnt fingers later......

All you need is.... a frame (not skinny) paint sides and front black...oh thinking a heart frame would be really cute.....a billion circles..thinking Pier I used red felt....(I ended up using the size of the red sprinkles jar), scissors and glue gun.

Fold circle in half...curl with fingers into a C glue bottom and place on frame...start at top left...not somewhere random like me....dah! To complete the "rose" another circle in half....curl with fingers into a backwards C and glue in between the first circle and around the bottom of first C....theres your rose....keep roses going in same direction. And if memory serves....it was uniformed on the frame which I tried to do....not hodgepodge.

{btw...Terry bought me that heart for Valentines Day in the late 80's...of course I told him where to get it... :) }

3 hours later....couple of tv shows, 1/2 of a long coat, and a MESS on my family room floor....

It really was easy....and COST me nothing!

Oh Heidi and I were chatting on the phone & thought I would post my headboard....it's yellow!....but I love it...and it's still sitting on my mattress....so when the Bear gets it hung I'll re-post....and YES my bedroom is in pink...ugly wall paper but....I have to overlook that! =) Oh and the sign is made with letters from outdoor signs..like for grocery stores, etc....! and today at target the brown flower pillow was 6 bucks! oh I love a bargain....speaking of which...Jess, and our three beauties went garage sale(ing) and I got the door for free! =)

busy and made my own....

and tea and coffee dyed them....cut into 18"

and sewed together....

next I found this website graphcis fairy

and you print it right on the osenburg.....

a little spray glue and hand stitching

and BINGO cute pillows! (fyi I use the same pillow

forms over again....and store away the seasonal

We had a fun weekend at Clint and Jenn's...playing Wii and babysitting! (Jess had some friends in...it was Judsons Alumni-Basketball game so they took Alex with them!) Anyway...the Wii is very fun...now I see what all the hipe is! I know I am always behind the times!

Ella will be getting her stitches out Tuesday....she was in the ER the day her grandpa was suppose to have surgery....anyway Terry goes in this Friday...please pray for him...!

Fun thought.....this is what its about...spending time with the grandkids (and kids) whenever...this is the "season" we get to spend time with the kids! Never know where the Lord takes us ....so I am enjoying spur of the moments time as in dinner out....help shop for "mom's" bday present....take the kids to the park or even McDonalds (my kids would beg to go there but Terry would have none of that....now....if that is where Al wants to eat....we go there =).....kinda funny tonight in the Christian Book Store.....Clint looks at Terry, Ella and me....we were playing peekaboo in the aisle...and kinda running...and said "if I did that i would have got in trouble"....well.....=)!!! It makes me smile....!!!

I'm Back!

Yes...its been quite some time....but I have been busy and my camera is somewhere...but I thought I could catch you up....

* Ally (as she calls herself) started pre-school, she goes on Thurs and Fridays....she loves it! The first day the teacher was "drilling" on colors and one little boy seemed to know them all....when the teacher called on Ally to name one...she looked over at "Billy" and said "Billy?"....(like Billy should answer the Q?)

* Ella is our sweet gal...and is growing like a weed! Last time I saw her she had 4 teeth...three in front and 1 in back...her 4th front tooth is trying to come in!

* Nate likes school....the campus and all the walking is the pits...but he likes it!

* Move over Jess.....mom & dad are moving in! We are excited (tired) but excited....Jess was gracious to open her home to Terry and I for a few months...until we decide where we live!

Hopefully I will get my camera out of hiding....and will fill in on some pics!! Happy October to you all!!!

Here I am whipping up some curtains....Jess found the green stripe at the flea market and we added from there!

Jessica is doodling on canvas....she has a class verse she keeps from year to year...Luke 10:27!

We had fun with the bulletin boards...the frame one is for student papers....such as an A, great writing....or just improvement! The "outside" was a challenge...but with the help of Ter and Nate we did it!

Oops we forgot...Jessica's back seat was full of school stuff...and she bought 24 balloons for her "grand opening".....quite funny getting in and out of the car...at our next few stops....we gave laughs to a few people too!

Nate came in a couple of day....he put up the curtain rods and drilled a few holes for us....he made the black "stage"/"cafe nook" and put in Jessicas cafe table! We had a fun evening....!!

Premier Christian Cruise 2007

This was my first cruise and ocean/beach experience! How fun! we enjoyed hearing from the group Point of Grace....Richie McDonald former singer of Lonestar.......comedian Chonda Pierce (oh honey she will split a stitch)....speaker and author Lisa Welchel (Facts of Life Star).....author Karen Kisngsbury (reason why most of gals went) and many more. If you would like to check out the website www.premierchristiancruises.com you will find a slide show of 2007 and updates for future cruise....I recommend it!

Eating at the dinner table labeled: Side 1....Lorrie (my cousin), Karen and her daughter Casi (Jessica's friend), Tera (Casi's friend), Jessica (my daughter) and my friend Cindy!

Side 2....New friends met on the boat....Lisa and her daughter Codi, Tena (friend of Leann) and my sister-in-law Leann.

We had quite the bunch....a few of us opted to take an excursion when we got to Cozumel....what a lovely day of sunning, peddaling a paddle boat, shopping (coach purses, perfume, tote bags, and mexican vanilla to name a few), massages for 2, and much more!!!

This vacation in a few words: Great music, speakers, food, friends and family, relaxation, and sleeping quarters! Enjoy the slide shows....happiness to you!

I can't believe it....finally figured this one out too....ok 4 months later...but what the heck....anyway I made this video last October...still cute....but couldn't put it in my blog...cause I didn't get the post thing....so now I have to try and figure how to make a new slide show....for more pictures.....too fun....

I have so much to share with you....and so little time (since everytime on get on this thing I need to learn something new)! I think I got the posting thing down....I have been playing with the computer since 7am (off and on....mostly on) and it is now 2:35. Just sharing the girls with you for now...hopefully I will be able to blog again....and tell about: Crusie, Thanksgiving, Christmas, you get the point. Thanks for "blogging on"....Happy day to you!

January 24, 2008 Weekend....

Terry and I had the girls for a few days....and we took them to the museum. Perfect for Alex....she had fun seeing the otters play, the fish swim, a HUGE turtle...SNAKES, YUK, and more! These are all animals that live in or around the Mississippi River. Ella was sweet as always....looking at the kids (yep 3 bus loads) and riding in her stroller. My pictures didn't turn out very good...but here's a few!
